Getting the Wheeling Fever
Since my carpet is ruined I'm considering put herculiner or some kind of bedliner on floor. Anyone have any suggestions for all the wires that run on the floor? Its a 94 ext cab. Pics would be great.

I'd be tempted to say to make sure that they are in good condition, hold them down with some pieces of electrical tape, and just coat the bedliner over the top of them.

If you think that you will need future access to them, I would not follow that advice... smile

Yes thats what Im concerned about. It would be just my luck if i were to coat it, then have an electrical problem.

If the wires are in good shape, perhaps you could just leave the connectors exposed. The bedliner should actually protect the actual wires.

I would say mark them carefully then unplug them and tie them up out of the way. Plug them back in after the lining is done.

Maybe make a removable panel that is coated and tunnel the wires underneath. You know what I mean?

Thanks,
Buddy

I herculined my interior. I don't recall any wires being exposed other than under the seat and under the dash. I didn't herculine over the wires. I don't think that is a good idea. And since the wires can't be seen, it's not a problem just to leave them hanging.

Here's a little security tip....keep this a secret....if you leave the plug that is directly under the passenger seat explosed, you can reach under there and unplug it anytime you don't want your truck to get stolen. That's the plug to the fuel pump.

Works great!

If you're talking about the wires that run along the bottom of the door sill, you can leave the plastic trim in place to cover those or use some tape or something to hold them down. I still wouldn't herculine over them. When it dries it's as hard a rock.
