i went to buy some ngk plugs at oreilly's today. they pulled out the laser platinums (ngk stock #2647) and wanted $10 each for them. that seemed steep. so i came back to this board to do a little more research on cheaper ngk plugs and did not find any specific answers. can i use the g power platinums (ngk stock #7090)? napa shows them online for $2.19.

any other suggestions with specific part numbers and estimated pricing greatly appreciated. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

You can get the cheaper NGKs also. You're just paying for the fancier features of the laser plug. Just get you a good set of regular NGKs. They'll cost you about $1.69 a piece. I work for Oreilly's and I know there's cheaper ones because I sell them all the time.

$10 for a plug is insanity. I have some NGK cross refs and "whatnot" if it helps. CLICKY

well, the only ngk plug my local oreilly's had was:
NGK, V-power spark plug, stock #2355, part #BKR5EY-11
this is just a regular copper plug that costs $1.59. on average, how many miles do they last?
