Body Damage is Cool
I picked up a rear third with 5.29s and an ARB but I had forgotten about the rear abs sensor that is in my original 3rd. The new third doesn't have the hole for it.

I can live without the abs, but I'm just wondering if there are any hidden side effects other than the abs light always being on (I'll take care of the light though). I pulled the abs fuse to test it and drove it to work today and nothing blew up.

If you have to ask about a SAS, you're not ready for it.

Oh, I did forget to mention I have an auto tranny if that makes any difference. I don't think it does since the VSS is in the tcase.

Just don't let anyone you run into know that you disabled it... They could take you to court and win since you disabled a device that could've *maybe* stopped the accident...

Don't worry, I don't care that you removed it... i don't have a swaybar or *any* emmissions devices... lol

Or, if you do sell it, make sure the buyer is aware before hand. It's kind of a catch-22 either way.

Disabling is not hard, but there has been talk that getting rid of the light is - not true. Just remove the ABS computer and sensors... all is good. Been there, done that, can't remember how I did it.

Mine has been disconnected for about 7 years now. It never seemed to work anyway, even when new. The shop that installed my ARB locker just left all the ABS stuff hanging from the frame on the light never comes on. I have tried emergency braking on wet pavement and it stops nice and straight without locking up too fast. I did adjust the rear brake proportioning valve so the rear doesn't lock up right way. I'm happy

Thanks guys.

mt_goat, yeah, I read one of you responses on YT. I'm kind of surprized that the sensor is still hooked up and yet the abs doesn't think the tires are locked up. Or, maybe the abs is so weak to begin with, that it is working everytime you hit the brakes, but you don't know it. Oh well, either way it looks like I'm going to be locked!
