Well he said the cel didn't come on so his mechanic didn't try to crank it. Has anyone here tried to use an 89 ecu into a 90 or 91 Monty? If so, what was the outcome? Apparently '89 was a one-year only. '90 and '91 appear to be identical to each other. It started and idles fine. I haven't drove it much but I know it's working. I dont know how it would work opposite of what I got. I also know someone who put a 1990 ECU in their 1989. I guess theres been some confussion about this and I don't understand all the logistics but thats what has been my experience.
