silly question about LCs...hope you guys dont mind #467629 06/22/04 09:50 PM

I've been looking at LCs on ebay and saw a few of them (2 in Texas and 1 in Florida) that have fender flares on them. They are recent models (from 2000-2002). I don't seem them elsewhere, and I don't see them in my state at all (California). Are they aftermarket or do some states have options that other states don't have? Also, are there any strictly Land Cruiser owner/fan forums that anyone here might know about? I have not found any. One last question...I don't know much about buying cars from other states, but I find there to be a large number of LCs on auction on ebay from Texas and Florida. Is there something about the law or something that I don't know about as to why there are more LCs sold on ebay from those two states than anywhere else? Texas and Florida are the two states with Homestead Act...maybe there's something else I should know...Thanks for entertaining me on this...

I am not familiar with the newer cruisers, so I don't have an answer to your flare questions. Two good sites with forums are ih8mud.com and cruizers.com. ih8mud gets considerably more traffic than cruizers. I don't know the answer to the Texas/Florida question either. Maybe because they are warm weather states so the cruisers there aren't as rusty.
