Getting the Wheeling Fever

I've got a 85 pick up that recently the tach is sticking. When I turn off the engine it will hang at the idle position for 10 or 15 seconds then drop down to zero. I also noticed that it doesn't seem to keep up with the engine on acceleration. Trucks got 190k mile so maybe it is just worn out?
