Newb question about Ultimate Dual Cases. #472408 07/04/04 04:40 PM

Im just curious, i was looking at a friends Ultimate dual case setup the other day and seen 3 sticks. Actually... 4 counting the transmission. Ok now i know that the transmission stick is 1st gear to 5th with Reverse. One of the T-case sticks is 4H,4L and Nuetral. Im guessing that the other half t-case stick is just High, Low correct? But what the hell is the third stick for??? Ive seen Marlin Crawler cases and Jeepeaters but those all have 2 sticks...4H,4L, Nuetral on one stick.. and just the High-Low on the other. Some clarification would be great, thanks!

twin sticks on rear case. one does high/low and one does 2wd/4wd. you can use it to run 2wd low which is not possible with teh stock setup.

You can put a twin stick shifter into a stock t-case with some minor work:

Twin-stick shifter install.

There are a lot of different choices on the number of transfer cases and the shifters used.

Marlin's truck has a total of 5 shifters:
Transmission
First crawl box (2.28)
Second crawl box (4.7)
Transfer case high/low (4.7)
Transfer case 2wd/4wd
