If I wanted to replace my chain drive t-case with a gear drive 4cyl. t-case on the end of my R150F tranny I would need the following, correct?:

- V6 Adapter Plate From Marlin Crawler
- 4cyl. Top Shift T-case
- 23 Spline Input for 4cyl. T-case

Thanks for the help!

Sounds about right. Are you going 4.7 or duals. I have duals and love them way more control and better selectablity.

93 4Runner 3.4 swap, SAS, 37 Mtr, 5speed swap, High pinion ARB Front an Arb rear, ARB air compressor, Marlins Dual cases, bud built crossmemeber, 63 leaf spring swap. Sky rear disc conversion and the money keeps flowing!

Yup. If you get lucky and find a turbo truck transfer case, you won't even need the 23 spline input shaft/gear.

You might need to adjust driveshaft lengths, budget for that too. The adapter adds a little to the transmission/transfer case assembly length.

If you go dual cases you need another 23 spline. You can live a little on the edge and use Marlin's new design 21 spline input, but if you are changing it, you might as well go 23 spline throughout and fuggedaboudit.

if you're only going to be running one case you shouldn't need to modify your driveshafts. i asked about that and was told the 4cyl case plus adapter was only about 1/2" longer than the 6cyl case.

Or you can just buy 23 spline 4.7 gears. With the 23 spline input gear costing $125 and the 4.7 gears around $350 now, I would just get the lower gears.

Sorry that number was off of the top of my head. Marlin and Inchworm are the best sources, but you may be able to find someone with a turbo truck who has installed low range gears and has the stock gears lying around.
