Seems there are several ways to do this - mine involved using stock Toyota parts and didn't require re-flaring a single brake line <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I saw your post over on pirate, and I read your article. I was just wondering if I should do this myself. My brakes NEVER lock up even thought I have great pedal pressure and new rotors and pads up front. Do you think I should take out my LSPV, I have about 4" lift in the rear with 36" swampers.

How do you currently have the LSPV arm set up? Is it attached to the axle in the stock location, or have you added an edtender bracket to raise it up some, or do you have it toed up to the frame?

I would definately try adjusting the stock setup before I got into removing parts...

Also, make sure your rear brakes are properly adjusted.

Try adjusting it first.

This is what I did to mine many years ago:

Mine is still connected in the stock fashion, although the rod is bent.

You might want to check and see how close the rod is to the top of travel. I set mine up so that its just a little below the top of travel. When I had it set fully up, I could lock up my old 33x15.50 Swampers, no problem.
