Well the time has come to replace the brakes on the Cruiser. I need front rotors and pads first, the rears are still decent, but soon to follow. I've been looking around but have some q's. Slotted or cross-drilled or simply plain jane. I realize that the plain janes are less expensive but if the other will really improve braking on the beast then I don't mind spending a little extra for it. What are some good brands to look at or what should I stay away from. Thanks in advance. It is a 1996 LC. Are Brembo rotors quality?

Body Damage is Cool
Brembo brand brake products are very high quality and the price reflects that. Either Brembo or OEM Aisin will do you right. Avoid slotted and crossdrilled rotors if you go off road. They will get ruined fast by mud and dirt.

Not to pull you away from this board, but check out http://www.ih8mud.com/
This topic has been talked to death over there. Just to give you a heads up Front rotors are a bigger job than one would think, you might as well service the hubs and service the birf.
actully here ya go...

I would suggest DBA rotors (Disc Brakes Australia). They are a very popular rotor with LC80 owners around the world. Don't know who stocks them in the States (someone does because I've seen signatures elsewhere with DBA rotors noted), but a good place (probably one of the best places) to start on any LC80 set up is Slee Offroad. Christo there has been a longtime devotee to the LC80 cause in the States, and he stocks most LC80 specific things.

Another source of (extensive) LC80 knowledge is Jon at Gotham City Cruisers. If you can find that site, you'll find another library of knowledge.

cruiserman posts here from time to time, also. You can PM him, also. He knows his stuff, and will likely recommend you also try the LCOOL site. Can't remember the URL off-hand at the moment.
