Body Damage is Cool

I have a hard time installing them. They are very hard. At that time it seems tobe a good alternative than overly soft OME I put in before. That was before I reindex the torsion bar. It seem like it does get stiffer after that. The extension travel are too short to get comfortable ride anyway. I learn from my LC that I need at least 2 3/4" extension travel to get a good ride.
Why dont you try to uncrank the torsion bar for a while. Just remember how many turn so you don't have to do alignment again if you need raise it back up.

Don't know about the Monomax, but on the Gas-a-justs I was able to compress the fronts under my body weight (195 lbs.) Had to hold them compressed with a piece of rope to install them. I had to use a long piece of wood as a lever to compress them up while they were still on the rig to replace a sheared bolt. They're pretty stiff, but give a great ride off-road!
