Trooper II manual locking hubs (aisin or superwinch) don't fit the Gen 1 monty, do they? I missed a pair of Monty ones last year, and I'm still kicking myself. I remember an earlier thread, but it didn't come up in a search...
thx, Toby

Nope. Different spline count, at the least.

Superwinches are only 89.00, support are limited after market!
1996 SR From the Area 51 Skunk Works. 37"BFG Tires, 5" lift, Rock Track 4:1 Case, Tom Woods Drive Shafts, Oasis Air, Front ARB, lifted gas tank, T-max winch and lots of stuff that cost too much.

JC whitney still has them stocked, superwinch Manuals. Although they are $100. plus shipping. I just bought a set 6 mo ago. I'd rather get out in shin deep mud to lock a manual than hear that damn click, click, click.... of a malfunctioning auto again. wyleone

Nothing wrong with a few questions, it keeps the board going. This may be off base but I am not a big fan of the superwinch hubs, and would hold off till you can 'maybe' find some assins. I have seen a pair actually split and the shock of it releasing trashed this kids front and some other stuff (cv, axle housing).
I have also founds the plastic dials to break.

Yeah, and if you need to rock it, the pounding of the hubs unlocking and locking is just... ugly.
I REALLY should have scored those Aisins- but I didn't have the right hex socket with me at the time.
I'll keep scrounging

This is a little late on this thread but My superwinch hubs are all aluminum, no plastic here. May not be as strong as steel. Definately not plastic.
