Can anyone recommend a good installer for lockers in the LA/OC area? I don't want to go some place new and get screwed so if you can recommend me a great shop that'd be cool smile

Thanks!

I drove up to Inchworm Gear and had jim do the machining. I built my own circuit beforehand so I could test it there....took the scenic coastal route back home w/ lots of stops on the way to let the diff cool. I'd have a machinist make the axle housing mods if you can part w/ the vehicle for a week. I couldn't, as my rig is my wife's DD. Only place I can think of is a shop in the San Fernando Valley that does work on cruisers...can't remember the name. There's also a shop in Orange (TJ's Offroad or something like that) that ARB recommends for their air lockers. They could probably install it competently.

First I just want to say <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The only person in the area that I know he knows setting up gears is Dallas at www.stinkyfab.com but he does mostly fabrication type of work. I'm not sure if he wants to mess with a locker install. He's north of San Diego.

I went w/ the ARB as they told me that the RD23 will work w/ the 4th gens. We'll see if it really works or not when it gets installed (I'm pretty confident it will).

Front lockers aren't available yet and I have no clue on when ARB will get the ball rolling on that one. I've also contacted Precision Gear on making some gears for the 4th gen but that looks grim as well (as they just gave me the brush off "maybe in a year or two".)

TJ's Offroad seems to be the place to goto as some of the TTORA guys have told me great stuff about their installs. Hopefully everything will work out well smile
