Sorry guys, the filter was bought local auto parts I think for $30. The pipe is just 2" PVC conduit elbow for 100 amp service entry. I also needed a 2" to 3" adapter (rubber of course). Then drill a hole close to where the elbow is straightened out for the air temp sensor.

CBR - I would agree but I do not intentionaly submerge!!!!

rngrpower - nice looking and since it is effective <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> for you. Are you thinking a way to isolate it to avoid sucking hot air or drive some cool air to it?

Actually, I did think of putting a"ram air" scoop on driverside . However, with only 10,000 miles, I'm not about to cut the hood up yet.

I'll save that when it becomes "buggy" time.

CBR - I will!!!!!!

rngrpower - I was thinking more like a sheet of metal isolating it from the hot air of the exauste I dont see a NEED for a ramair cutting the hood since it will then suck cold air from the holes right next to it ( looking from the front on your right) and the metal topped to the level of the hood so it seals using the antinoise thing that is under the hood ( My english stinks so please use your imagination!!!)

Good point, I'll try a few things this week. Basicly some type of a shield and/or diverter from the grill huh?

Oh, I got it...........a "RAM AIR BOX".

What ya think?

Update........ Instead, I have decided to try and inside/outside temp gauge and run the outside probe into my intake (drill hole and clear silicone) to monitor intake air temp.
Pics when done.
