Whenever I start up my truck I get a little bit of water dripping out of the exhaust. I'm not sure if the small amount of white smoke happens all the time, but it happened this morning and once before last week in the evening after work. Not enough to make a cloud as I am parked in the driveway, but if I was in the garage it might be a problem. What is going on? Please tell me this is normal and NOT the headgasket.

Sounds to me like it's only a little bit of condinsation. The water is excess condinsation that pooled up inside the exhaust system and the white smoke is more than likely boiled off condinsation. I say this because you noticed it in the morning and again at night when condinsation is more likely to happen. Check to see of you get any kind of white smoke in the afternoon. Try to see what it smells like as well. If it's a sweet smell, then it's antifreeze. I doubt you have any issues though. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Keep an eye on you anti-freeze, mine did the same thing when cold, when I'd start her up, there would be a good amount of white smoke,t yes indeed, the old HG started to leak after 297,000+ miles, I didn't want to believe it, but it was so. I since rebuilt her, stronger than ever now!
What happens is, coolant leaks down into ye olde cylinder and you start her up, she will smoke for awhile and once the engine warms up, the HG leak will seal itself due to the heat expansion!
Good luck, I hope it isn't the HG! They're fun though!
