Just curious. If there's any interest, I'll go make a post in the private party for sale forum. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.muzzleflash.org/trooper2.jpg)

Year? Mileage? Engine? Location? any other details?
From the looks of it, it's a nice Trooper, but it helps to have a bit more info.

The year is 1988. Mileage on the trooper is around 264k. (freeway miles) Engine is four cylinder, in good shape, location is NY state. Needs some light cosmetic work.
Originally a TN car, y'see. No NY-style rust.
My mechanic -who happens to be one of the rare, completely honest, trustworthy, and also highly knowledgeable ones- told us to say 1800$ and then negotiate down a bit.
There's factors of why I need the money that I'll probably explain if someone is seriously interested, otherwise I don't feel the need to play on people's sympathy.
Personally, I'm sad to see her go. It's a very nimble and comfortable vehicle, with the steering wheel cover and synthetic fur seat covers (DON'T LAUGH. They feel GOOD.).
Ah well. Dreams die, life goes on.

So one of the people that contacted me privately about the trooper asked for my # to discuss it on the phone. He acted ok, and only wanted to know a few things.
Two days later, he arrives AT MY HOUSE uninvited, and tries to lowball me on the trooper- conniving and manipulative doesn't even begin to describe that person. He seemed pretty bright, so he probably has lots of friends. Totally determined to get me to cave and accept 1100 for my trooper (my selling goal was around 1500) and he wouldn't take no for an answer.
Finally ejected him from my property- and he got angry at that point. I don't like being insulted on the base of my ethnicity. I am not going to name names, but if he has the coconuts to name himself, I might actually have a shred of respect for the nebbish.
Trooper in question is no longer for sale. I can deal with it as my daily driver and backwoods duty vehicle for a while more, and I hustled enough cash in the meantime to keep myself afloat for a while. No need to sell it to a north end of a southbound prairie dog.
