i met randi through matt at independent 4x i was having trouble with some tera gears for my transfercase, matt suggested that i talk to randi he was a big help. now to how he has become my new hero,i had been wooking on my 88 trooper2 for 2 1/2 years doing a straight axle conversion, rebuilding the moto, sliders, front winch bumper, rear carrier for my 35in spare. so i'am finally ready for my first run with my baby so i sign up to do a poker run with the lake tahoe 4hi low club well on the way there i broke down about 8 miles east of placervile, while we waited for the tow truck(we i mean my family) i gave randi a call to see if he knew any rental places so that i could rent a truck and trailer to tow my baby home, with out hesitation randi says i will tow you with my 3/4 ton dodge and says what day do you want to tow it home? i tell him i rented a truck so we could still go up to at least particapate in the bbq an raffle on saturday night. so i have my baby towed to my aunts in shingle springs and randi says i will meet you with a trailer at 9:00 am, we load up and head back to my house which is in rohnert park just south of santa rosa about a 2 1/2 hr ride. i can't tell you how much i am in debt to this man he has heart as big as any one i know. and he did all this on a day he was going to a bbq, that he took time out of his weekend to help a fellow isuzu member and his family. when ever he needs some thing i hope he will call me so that i can return the favor he did for me. can't say thanks enough.

Yep, Randii took off work early one day Friday and picked up the axle seal I needed to get my Rodeo to the 1st Marlin Crawler Round up. Seems He was friends with the Guys at the Shop and they left the parts hanging in a tree for him to pick up after hours. How's that for trust. Still have no idea how far out of his way it was but, it meant I could go run the Rubicon the first time. Beside, California is a long way from Texas. I would have hated to drive all that way and have to turn around because of a $8.00 seal.
We've been friends ever since. And I've tried to pass that attitude along.

Aw shucks... it was good to help, Don! It was a fun Sunday drive (we got to benchrace and BS about Isuzus!), and I made it to my BBQ in plenty of time.

Curtis put his finger on it -- this is an attitude we pass along, and I find myself richly rewarded in friendship. This hobby introduces me to a wild cross section of people from many careers, countries, and economic strata, but somehow despite the differences, most all of us stick together and help each other. Gotta love it!

Don has a sweet Trooper, fo sho... I'm just amazed that it started knocking so soon. Gotta be some freak failure.

I too have a sorta good story smile

As lots of you know, I went through hell getting my tranny in my trooper fixed.

Randii told me about this great place in Sacramento, and he even called them and told them my story before I did! I called them up and they already knew what I needed smile

Now, I have a great tranny in my trooper and I give lots of thanks to Randii since I would have never found that place smile

RandY; Good job! I firmly believe that you reap what you sow. Seems these days, not so many are willing to sow the good seed. ALways glad top hear these types of stories.

I'm not sure my wife appreciates my seed-sowing.
