Getting the Wheeling Fever
I bought a honda accord FSM on CD from a guy on ebay and the cd was for a british honda accord. Pretty useless for my vehicle. All designations were different. Anyway, he can replace it with a 1997 T FSM. I need a 95 T FSM. Is there really a huge difference between them. The engines are the same and the body can't be that different. The only thing I could come up with after reading many posts, was the ECU and possibly some wiring. Right.

Any imput would be great. I need to let the guy know something tonight.

That may have been an option in 95 but I have the 3.4L V6 - 5VZFE engine.

Anyone else???

Body Damage is Cool
1995 - the year of the Xtra-cab and 3.4L V6.
The 3.4L replaced the 3.0L in '95.
I guess some early models could have come with the 3.0L

I have the 95 and 97 FSMs.
There are differences with electrical, emissions and some locations of engine components (wiper resevoir, ...) but mostly emissions components.

The 3.4L is pretty much universal for all the trucks except for the emission changes (Toyota BAD!) ..VSV locations and additions.

Ofcourse, the differences are subtle (I was going nuts tracking connector numbers on the schematics...hence why no one hear futher on what is needed to make a 95 into 97 for S/C...).

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to get a refund from the guy. I forgot about this website where I can get the correct information. http://techinfo.toyota.com

Yowza! That site is amazing and expensive to boot! I think I'll keep saving for the FSM.

Actually, many people on yotatech.com have said that for the $10 one day fee you can download and print the entire manual. Not a bad deal if you have a little time to do it. I may try this weekend. I'll let everyone know. Otherwise, I agree, I would just buy the paper manual rather than pay the yearly fee.

If you're going to spend the money, get the right manual instead of beating your head against the wall trying to figure out the little differences while working on your truck. Sounds like you made that decision already though. smile
