Ok I've had some big problems out of my driver side window. I'm assuming the part know as the regulator (round spool with wire) is the culprit. Well, I know it is. All the wire had come off the spool and now the window will not open or close. To keep it up temporarily, I had to put a screw under the window inside the door. Really ghetto, but better than getting rained on. Ok, so here's my question. Is that part called the regulator? I've looked and the cheapest one I can find is almost $100. Does anybody have anything like that? Thanks for the help guys.

$100 for a window regulator is pretty standard. I had both of them replaced on my Vx and the dealer had to pay $88 for each one.

I replaced both rear in a 93 Trooper ~$77 each from St. Charles. I wouldn't take any short cuts here though, just get the OEM part from St Charles. My $.02 Good Luck

dang, I've done it about 10-15 times <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I tried to save some money and make a new cable and rewind the spool, didn't last too long. Go for the factory new unit. If you were closer I'd get it done in 10min.
By the way its not hard, you just have to swap the motor from the old regulator to the new one and your good to go.
Good Luck
