There are two different sized hub openings for 6-bolt / 5.5ö wheelsà
The ones on our Isuzus (as well as Toyotas, Mitsubishis, Nissans, etc.) have the larger of the two hub opening sizes. --- Whereas, those on many (if not all) Chevrolets, GMCs etc. have the smaller hub openings.
Just because they are 6 on 5.5 wheelsà that fact alone DOES NOT mean that theyÆll fit! Bearing this statement in mind, would most/all aftermarket wheel makers make the 6 on 5.5 wheels with the larger hub opening to ensure a more universal fit? i.e. all domestics and imports with 6 on 5.5. FYI: I am looking at getting some Eagle 187s (1879-7866); anyone speculate how these compare fit-wise to a stock 16x8 steely with 265/70/16s (31s)?

I canÆt say about those Eagle 187s that youÆre looking at, butà
On my last trip to Sears, I saw a few sets of 16 and 17 inch / 6 on 5.5 wheels that caught my eye (not that I could actually afford any of them ) - but for what itÆs worth, NOT ONE of them had the larger hub opening.

Six Isuzus, so far... still have three of them.

Toyota rims fit. The only 6 lug pattern I've ever heard of is 6 on 5.5, so the only thing you have to worry about is the hub size, but yes Toyota rims do fit on isuzu. Actually the Dodge dakota pickups use a different 6 lug pattern. I think that is the only 6 lug pattern that the holes don't line up on. I have heard of people having problems with stock Chevy wheels fitting due to the hub cutout. My wheels came off of a suburban, but they were AR aftermarket steel wheels, so the opening was the larger. Just my 2 sense

It was my experience with my 99 migo that Isuzu uses the smallest hub-centered rim with a 6x5.5 lug patten. It wasnt a problem putting most any rim on (except for the backspace issue), but I tried to put my stock rims onto my wife's toyota (also 6x5.5) and they would not fit over the centering ring.
Strangely, the 92 Amigo uses the same size ring as the toyota. 2nd gen rims ONLY fit 2nd gen migos/rodeos.
Not sure about troopers there.
