I was wondering if someone could help? How do you put manual locking hubs on a 2002 rodeo sport? My hub looks different. It just has one big nut in the center of the hub on the axle shaft.
I think I heard of someone running into this a while back but couldnt find it.

Body Damage is Cool
It's been mentioned that you have to swap out the hubs, spindels etc.....for a pre 2002.......
They changed the design in late 01/02

Do you know if I would have to change the cv axles too?

I can't answer that,I'm not sure what all is involved......if we keep this going someone is bound to
look in and see.

Oh and maybe go back and edit the first post title to maybe something like:

it was me who discovered it first time. I did not change anything, I just lifted it very moderately 3". Some rubber parts on CVs work not great with the lift and without the manual hubs, but the dealer keeps fixing the problems under warranty, without asking questions. I have 72K miles warranty left, and I am going to worry about this issue later.

I'm not sure about your hubs, but I'm on the 3rd replacement set of SuperWinch hubs on my 2000 Rodeo, and they're clattering again. If I was going to do it all over again, I'd do it with WARN hubs, the Superwinches are built to function, but not to last. They don't mind replacing them under their lifetime warranty, so that's good; but that's it.

Also, as to do with dealer warranties, be careful. I'm currently in a law suit with Isuzu regarding not just the dealership, but Isuzu corporate refusing to replace parts on truck at only 42k of my 10 year/120k warranty because of my aftermarket mods. (they're claiming my 2.5" suspension lift has caused 3 transfer-case failures in 36k miles becuase the u-joints in the drive shaft has been put out of spec by the lift)

I'm fairly certain we'll come thru this on the good side, but I'm having to spend 8 months and have a team of attorneys to do it, and at the end I'll never be an Isuzu owner again.

Wow, looks like you are out of luck, completely...
Something terrible is going on there ...

Here's a recent look into this problem. Joe should be coming up with the answer soon. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
