Getting the Wheeling Fever
Ok, I have recently (9 months ago) rebuilt my front end. New wheel bearings, rotors, brake pads, upper and lower ball joints, ball joint spacers, steel brake lines and install of Warn manual hubs. Recently I noticed when I am making a turn to the right there is a horrible wailing or screehcing from the left front side. I am not braking at the time, just accelerating through a turn. Any ideas or suggestions? My only thought is too maybe repack my wheel bearings? But the warn hubs are water tight? Any ideas would be a big help.

Repack the bearings. The hubs are a little watertight, but not perfect. Check to make sure your pads are rubbing the rotor too.

If the pads were rubbing I would think it would squeel all the time. I will definatel;y try and repack the bearings anyhow. Not too hard and a relatively easy fix if that its. Any other ideas?

If your wheel bearings are alittle loose, when you turn and put pressure on the bearings they will deflect some and possible cause the brake pads to "rub" on the rotors. When you straight'n it out it should stop.If it squeels when going around a corner put pressure on the brakes,it should stop.I would check your wheel bearings and make sure they are not loose.

As for the Warn Hubs being water tight don't believe that for a second. I have the premium warn hubs and was having issues with turning them. It was so bad that I had to use a large pair of channel locks. I never took the hub off because I believed what you did. About a month ago I got fed up and orderd a new set of the same hubs. When I took the old ones off they were extremely corroded inside. the hubs were less than two years old. If you play in the water and mud like I do I would take them off and clean them out every time. Just a thought
