I'm about to head out to the Pismo Dunes this weekend. I don't have the top on my truck now. Anybody go dunning with out a top, how much sand gets kicked into the bed? I don't have front mud flaps?

If you do not want sand in your truck do not drive in the sand.

I do a lot of wheeling up here in the sand dunes. You will have sand coming out of your vents, seats, carpet, doors. Even with the truck sealed, windows up etc you still end up with sand every where.

Without the top you will have piles of sand in the back. That is uless you never spin-out climbing a dune <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" />You will.

On the upside the bottom of your truck will be cleaner than it ever has been and your tires will look new.

Don't even try to run more than 10psi. It is amazing what tire pressure will do for you in the sand.

I will e-mail you some pics.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hey dude,
I dune my 4runner a lot without the top. I end up with dust EVERYWHERE, but not that much sand in the back. Most of the solid sand comes in on the bottom of your shoes or from whatever else you throw into your truck. Lots of dust inside is unavoidable, unless you keep the roof on and the windows and vents closed.
Have fun! B.
