Parts America has the 22R-E EGR for $238 and 22R for $261. Comes with the main body of the EGR, the tube doesnt come with it....but the gasket does .

OEM through BobBridgeToyota.com ranges from $155 for what Im guessing is 22R up to $178 for the EFI unit. Doesnt mention what is included.

Easier to look up if you shared the big secret of what year and engine you are dealing with.....

yea sorry about that...its an 86 22R. The tube on mine is cracked...woops, and after pulling it I realized that someone had also broken the bottom of the third mounting bolt off, where it bolts to the block. So it was only hed in by 2 bolts. So Iam trying to figure out exactly what I need. Thanks Stinson

Wonder if they have gone up recently, I paid about $100 for mine (22RE) about 6 years ago at my local dealer (w/ TLCA discount), I think it listed about $140 - $160 (paid for the TLCA membership on that one part!).

I have an EGR that came off of whatever the hell was installed on my 4Runner in the halfass attempt to convert from EFI to Carbie. Since I pulled their junk and reinstalled one my EFI motors, I have no use for the carb style EGR anymore. But fair warning...the thing is clogged badly...how bad you ask? About an hour of spraying, scraping, picking and swearing I made about 1" of progress.

Go to a pick and pull (Boneyard) and see if you can find one. The EGRs can usually be cleaned to restore proper plunger action if its sticky. Plus this way you are able to get the whole shooting match and be able to see if what you are getting is identical.

Get your drill bits, pokers and a metal coat hanger out. Have some strong solvent handy (brake clean, carb cleaner, oven cleaner). Work into the carbon with the pokey tools, spray generously with cleaner...then hand work the drillbit around and into the crust. Keep repeating...this stuff is a SOB to get out. And most importantly...dont be wearing your Sunday "goin to meetin" clothes becuase the ultra black carbon ***** that comes out is permanent on clothes and hands. Hit it like shes a virgin and not an old pro and you should do just fine.

Well guys thanks for the help, my truck is running great now. I had an intake manifold leak and that thing was running rough. Come to find out, the last bolt on the intake manifold tightening sequence according to my manual, is stripped out. Someone was in there messing stuff up, so I took off a washer and the fuel line tab so that i could get 2 threads to hold for now. The bolt goes is a bit deeper. Should have caught this on dissasembly, but I didnt. So next time I get some time the whole thing comes back appart to drill and install a helicoil. Oh well at least I know what the problem is/was. Thanks and the EGR from the junk yard is working great after picking and cleaning and cleaning. Cya Stinson
