Hey guys, I traded in my converted Prerunner this past weekend. I took ALL the 4wd stuff off of it. I have an automatic transmission with transfer case (low miles) both drive shafts (extra cab) the entire front differential with 4.11 gears, both stub axles and MANUAL HUBS. I even have the transfer case shifter boot that will fit your existing automatic shifter once you cut out the pre-stamped knockout for the transfer case shifter. I also have the 4wd shifter trim for the console (oak color) If anyone is interested send me an email mechanic116@yahoo.com I have this in the parts bin as well, but I'm not sure many Tacoma guys are lookin at it.

Totally unrelated, but how much did you get the new Taco for out the door? They should be CHEAP now since the 05 is coming soon!!

My new one is an SR5. 4wd, extra cab. V6, 5 speed, ADD front axle, A/C, cruise, tilt, intermittent wipers, cd and cassette, 60/40 seats, power windows, locks and mirrors, chrome bumpers and grille, sliding rear window with tinted glass, big wheel and tire package (styled 16" steel wheels), Lunar Mist with the black fender flares. I got it for 23k and some change (that's tax tags and title included) Didn't think it was too bad. Considering the same truck in '98 when I bought my Prerunner was several thousand more.

Not to be negative or anything, but 23K and no TRD or tow package? I bought mine in May and got it for $22300 (including Tax, tag, and title) and it is loaded with TRD and all that jank. I guess it depends on where you are, but I assumed they would be less by now since it is the "year end event".

It's easier if you would quote the list price to see what kind of deal you got.

The list price on this particular truck was 24K and some change. I failed to mention that I also traded in a 1998 Audi A6 Quattro which I was WAY upside down on. I feel like I gotta good deal. Had it not been for the Audi, I'm certain I coulda got it for a few grand less. I'm happy, that's all that matters.

Now that makes more sense. Don't you hate cars that can't hold their value? My wife just traded her Durango and we got killed on that thing... Dodge sucks!

well, luckily, I didn't get beat up too bad on the Audi. I was the second owner. The FIRST guy REALLY took it in the ass on it. It was $42k new! I think I paid about $14k for it. I'm just glad to be rid of it. That thing was NOTHING but problems. I had to put TWO transmissions in it.
