Getting the Wheeling Fever
My truck was oozing oil all over my drive way after work today. I pulled the pulley off and theres a fairly nice sized wishbone crack in the top of the timing cover(right next to the head gasket on the nubbin thing). Its looks like its been welded/patched 2-3 times already. What would cause this? Where could I buy a new timing cover? Any suggestions for upgrades/replacement parts since Im gunna be knee deep in engine poo? Thanks <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

My guess is someone tried to pry the cover off without removing the "hidden" bolt in the puddle under the cam sprocket. For a new one, contact EB. Can't go wrong.

Gotta agree with "hidden bolt" diagnosis. Sounds like somebody didn't know it was in there.

Duh....I left that bolt out last month when I replaced the head and chain....It's still out....No problems, tho.
