My Revos are cupping. Thought I had a wheel bearing goin bad. All 4 tires cupping on the inside. They have ~15000 miles on them. 4Rnr only has 50,000 miles. No suspension problems. Everything is stock. 265 75 16
Now what? Anybody else have any problem with them.

I have them on my taco, 24k miles, no cupping and good wear resistance. I think you may have tire pressure issues.

Body Damage is Cool
I have nearly 7,000 on my set of 275/70/16 REVOs. I rotated them once at the 5,000 mile mark and the tread wear is even all around. I would suspect a tire pressure issue. I keep mine at 33 PSI.

Agree, it's a tire pressure issue.. Even when the alignment is perfect, tires with lots of rubber tread (thickness) and a deep tread pattern like the Revo, can "squirm" if underinflated (too much flexing of the tire carcass that sometimes causes a twisting motion of each indivdual tread block at the outer edges of the tire, as they make contact with the road surface)and will start to cause cupping.. Sometimes the tire carcass can develop an outright "resonance" or vibration in the above motion, that will definitely cup the tires.. More air pressure to stiffen up the tire can take this out..

I began to see a bit on the front of mine and took the front pressure up from about 33psi to 36 and the wear pattern evened out.. I run 34psi at the back based on very close observation of the wear patterns.

Putting a strip of masking tape across the thread and very carefully pulling onto (and off) the roadway with minimum turning so you don't scrub the tape off immediately, then driving about 15 miles on a level straight road will give you a quick picture of the tire wear pattern. I've used this to tweak both alignment and tire pressure..

Thanks Dandeman I've been running them at 33. I'll boost them up a bit, see what happens. Do you think they will flatten out? Nice tires, I hope they aren't doomed.

I rotate cupped or feathered worn tires (from the front) to the rear axle and they tend to flatten out the wear pattern back there..

Guess it depends on how deep your cupping got...
