95 T100.... Having a stubborn time breaking the line free from the fuel filter and trying not to round off the 14mm nuts that secure both ends. I did manage to free up one end using a 'little' heat from a propane torch [flame at LOWEST possible setting] on the threaded inlet part of filter but the other end is not cooperating. Besides cleaning the area up with a wire brush and using a penetrating oil [BLASTER] does anyone have success using other methods to break these lines free?.......Normally I would just use more heat [expansion/contraction/repeat] but being a fuel line I've only heated it enough to where its still touchable.
Thanks.

Heat? Flame? Torch? YIKES. Not the best place to be doing that!

From what I've heard, PB or the stealership is your only recourse...

Not all... Some have decided to leave well enough alone (for now, at least). Then again, I'm only now @ 94k... But she's still gettin' gas now, so I ain't gonna mess with it just yet.

The fuel filters on Toyota looks so easy as it's right along the side of the frame. Will, the last time I changed the fuel filter, it took me the whole afternoon after stripping the connectors. I ended up paying the local garage to finish the job, and about a $100 for new brake lines and labor.

This is one easy job that's best left to the professionals. Good luck.

Are you using a wrench to stabilize the filter and another line wrench to loosen the line fitting? I just changed the fuel filter on my 1995 T100 and it only took about 45 minutes. The key is you need to use two wrenches and stabilize the filter, otherwise you'll just strip out the line fitting.

Yes, using two wrenches is a must. Being a retired motorcycle mechanic [25 years] you do learn a few things.
Thanks for the input though.
