This thread has probably been beat to death..BUT.... has anybody ever figured out a way to turn these modes off temporarily if you want to? These are the only things that drive me whacky on my '02. Think they go off with diff lock button, but can't drive on highway locked. There are some error codes that shut them down, like loose gas cap. Is there any way of "faking" an error, then easily "unfaking" it to get them back on. Sometimes I feel these controls are unsafe. If I have tire spin when pulling from dirt road onto highway, power is cut way down. Not a good feeling if cars are approaching. Just thought I'd ask ..

You're right in that this has been covered, but it's certainly not a bad thing to see this brought up from time to time as you're still in the same boat as everyone else since there has not been any fix to this. To clarify, VSC is the only culprit, not the Trac system.
