It's been a long time since truck drank bad gas with water in it. Filled up at the cheapest place in town (now I know why), was driving around Ok, burnt off 1/4 tank, no problem, I go up a very step hill, had to take it down two gears all at once cause I let her bog down pretty far (I know your not suppose to do that but I was messin around), so whenI jumped down a couple a gears I really kinda jerked the whole truck, it musta got a good gulp of the crud cause man you talk about the engine makin some weird noises, I'm talkin, knocking noises like a valve was hittin the piston and thelifters had go gone bad, and engine was bearly able to idle. Engine was rockin back and forth and it was backfiren through throttlebody, and when I would try to accel the truck would bog down and cough, couldn't hardly pull itself. So off to Autozone after checking plug wires all vaccum lines and then I thought I F'd up something cause I'm the one with vaccum tubes plugged and EGR blockoff plates. ANYway I bought some b-12 (something like that) gas treatment, poured that in and went for a cruise up the highway (14 miles) by the time I got back the thing sounded great and would idle like a little 22RE with a performance cam should (slight roumble) ad throttle response is very touchy again and crisp). I suggest the B12 stuff or whatever it is called. Man was I worried.

Do you guys know what I am talkin about??? B!@ or something like that, stuff really works great.

Had the exact same experience about a month ago. I was on my way home to Delaware from GWNF in Virginia and about 5 miles outside of Manassas, my truck did the exact same thing you just described. I pulled off the interstate and let the truck rest for about 5 minutes. It fired right back up and ran OK the rest of the trip home, but there was still a little hesitation. Ran some SeaFoam through with a tank of 91 Octane and haven't had any problems since. I know now what gas station to aviod in Harrisonburg.

I used seafoam through my intake (vacuum source) about half can.. played with it.. smoked up a friggin storm. I think the truck has run a bit better lately. at least starting it has.
