I removed the 5 speed from the amigo saturday and want it to go back easy. How do you remove the transfer case shifter?
I found one pressure plate bolt broken and it flying around in there. That is why when I started it up once with the clutch in and it jumped forward, the bolt mark is in the flywheel. Also my rear main seal had a dent in it,thats why its leaking. When someone pulled the motor or trans, they didnt think it needed the 2 top bolts where they meet up.But they did put the water cross over bracket in between the motor and tranny,NICE. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />
I'll be playing at the junk yard for the bolts.

I ususally find that it comes out easier if you shift it into 4H.

Good Luck,
Michael

Body Damage is Cool
St.Charles stocks those bolts for a few dollars. I ordered two, they charged me for two, but shipped 6. They said 6 was the minimum order but they only charge you for what you order. Pretty good.

Roll Me Over
Yeah those bolts were real fun to get to. I can't say it wasn't tempting to not put the very top one back in. I put it in anyway. Now after the body lift it will be much easier the next time.
