Swaping Seats for 99 Tacoma #514999 10/18/04 02:01 PM

I have a 99 standard cab 4x4 Tacoma with bucket seats that I use for general farm and household duties. I would like to convert this to a bench seat so I can haul my two boys. Does anyone know if the bolts line up between the bench and the bucket seats? If so what would be the best way to go about getting new seats -Junk yard or trade?

No - the bolting scheme for the single bench is different than for the buckets. I think you'd be going from a total of 8 bolts to only 4 or 6 (??...). I don't know if the only ones you'd still need (the outer ones)are lined up to match your current bucket bolt scheme.

It's kinda rare for someone to actually want to go from buckets to bench, so there's lots of people who'd like to offload their benches.

Of _course_ I know the difference... I don't want you to kiss a hole in the ground.

I have a 02" Reg cab with light grey bench seat and was looking to getting slit seats. I live in the Woodbridge VA area. Anyone want to make a deal? My bench seat is in perfect condition. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Turner is in Centreville/Chantilly. I have his split bench in my garage right now in Fairfax. I was going to use his seats in my junk but I haven't gotten around to it yet. If you're interested, and Turner is down with the idea, I'll trade you your buckets for his split bench. His seats are gray.

We are both on the TTORA-VA board more than 4x4Wire, so post something over in this thread if you're interested.
