I can hear the solenoid click, but it won't turn over. After a few trys it will work but it's getting worse. The wiring is fine, and the existing contacts look good. Anything else I should check? I'm going to take it to Napa and get it tested. Not a terribly expensive part, but I'd like to save some $ if I can. 1985 4runner, 22RE. 85 Toyota 4runner with some stuff... Either get it rebuilt or spring for a new one from the dealer. The remanned foreign starters just don't last, I read an article in the paper about how many people have had problems, but no one can figure out why. I've had 6 warranty replacements in 5 years and mine is acting up again.
