Mods- This is not a for sale post, I swear. In fact I won't even tell you the site <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />
I have always loved cool little gadgets to make my life easier. While lurking the ClubB5 board for my VWPassat I found a thread on garage door openers.
The cool thing is this company makes a garage remote that fits into one of the blanks on the dash or console. If you hate diggin through the glovebox for the clunky big remote, this might be for you. Heck without the3 remote you might fit another pack of smokes in the glovebox <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />
The application guide shows they fit 1998+ trooper, amigo & rodeo, 1999 + vehicross
The remote is the little piece with two plastic bumps and the led light in center.

Spill the site details -- as long as you're not selling them, it is cool!

Guess I'm the only one who thought to 'right click, properties' on the pictures <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

[edit]Except for Landmonster who just had to post that at the same time and deflate my barrel-chested cockiness. If anyone needs me, I'll be in the corner curled up in a fetal position <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Wasn't trying to be a pain. Wanted you to see the remotes but also let you know I an in no way associated with this company.

Info from the Club B5 thread

Last Friday I actually went to the offices of Mikado Technology to buy one of their garage door openers. They are just a small mom and pop shop operating out of an industrial office park in South SF (near Comp USA).
1-888-9-mikado ....
mentioned how on clubb5 there are many members would would be interested in a group buy on their products, and they gave me a 20% discount and said that anyone who calls should ask for Sammy or Carminny (didn't catch the name right, but I think is the owner and his wife) and they will get 20% off. They didn't have any terms like offer only good for a certain time, or wanting to do one big shipment, etc. They just said call and get 20% off. Best thing is that they do take credit cards, making payment easy.....
I think they are $55 for single control and $75 for dual (2 garages). Less the 20% discount.

And they even have one of these <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/coolg.gif" alt="" />

I think I might need one of those (especially since I don't even park in the garage <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> )

Looks very cool! What if you have a rolling code system and buy their workaround model, does that mean you lose the security features of having rolling code?

I have a friend that wired a switch from their high beams to the garage door opener. He mounted the opener under the dash somewhere. Now when he flicks his headlights at the garage, it opens... it's like magic <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
