When I tossed the front swaybar on my otherwise stock IFS truck I could not even tell the difference. If you are worried though put your's in the corner of the garage until you are comfortable without it.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Mine broke one day (the rusty bolt on one end snapped) and I did notice the difference. It would bow around corners and gave me an uneasy feeling that I was about to roll. I wondered what was wrong with my truck and looked under and found out what was wrong.

I don't think I could get used to it on the road. Seems hazardous to me.

I had made a set of disconnects for my truck. They worked great! I loved them. One day while I was getting my truck ready to go wheeling, I saw that one of the disconnects had broken in half. Since I was out of time, I just yanked the whole sway bar. I have since put about 3000 miles on it. I do notice the steering feels a little heavy but I probably will not put it back on. On the trail it is incredible the difference it made.

Body Damage is Cool
maybe you should go less than 40 around those turns then rich. ive had mine off for about 6 months and it hasnt bothered me at all. just go a little slower around the turns and youll be fine. after all you drive a 4x4 not a race car. theres even a warning on you driver side visor.

I wouldn't say it's unsafe, if anything it'll slow you down because you'll feel like you're gonna roll. I went with discos 'cause I can't afford a sports car and I like to drive my runner like it is one.

Tossed it and don't miss it. Took me a week or so to get used to the little extra lean but after that it is fine. It isn't a race car anymore but it is a small price. Most people I know who have discos don't even bother to do them back up most of the time anyway because it really isn't that big of a deal.

I took mine off a couple months ago, I don't miss it at all. A little more body roll when zipping around corners but alot softer and flexy onroad/offroad. However, I still plan on making disconnects eventually.
