 Vent selector problems\new to the board

OK I am done lurking and ready to post. I had been hanging out here toyota truck page But once I got the T100 they sent me over here. So far I have found lots of good tips for common problems, hood vibration, rattle ect. My problem is that the vent selector will not let me slide the lever all of the way over to the "vent" only postion. I can only get it to the vent\floor position. I am I by myself or is this another common problem?

It just a simple cable control that runs this. I would check for either a kinked cable, the jacket over the cable not being secured so the whole assembly is shifting, or something jamming up at the other end of the cable. The dash stuff all pops off so you can watch the lever and cable when you move it to see what is going on. After that it's dash diving time.
