ASCO (Aisin Seiko Corporation) is the manufacturer for stock Toyota clutches. You can get them cheap from www.jtoufitters.com call and ask for Joe, tell him you want the ASCO clutch.

That link is for an ASCO clutch... It shows all the different Toyota models it fits, including the '96-'02 5vz-fe equipped 4-Runner. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I called and they said even though the kit is still advertised on their site they can't get that kit anymore for that price. In fact all they could offer is the disk and pressure plate for more than the entire kit is advertised on their website! He said they have been meaning to update the site for a few months but haven't had the chance...that is a little misleading.

So anyone else know a good place to get ASCO clutch kit for 3rd gens?

I did some browsing and found www.clutchcityonline.com has a complete ASCO clutch kit for $240.

Has anyone dealt with this vendor before? Is this a good price?
