 Anyone near Manhattan, KS willing to do a 22RE timing chain job?

This is sort of a long shot, but I thought I'd ask. My cousin has a 2wd Toyota 22RE that needs to have the timing chain replaced, apparently (got a quote to do it for $700 <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />). I'd totally do it if I lived near there, but I don't. Just thought I'd throw out some feelers to see if anyone might be interested in helping.

I'm on the west side of Kansas City, if that's any help. Just got through doing one on my 22R a few weeks ago. Is he looking for someone to do the work or just someone to help with it?

Actually, my cousin is a she <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />, and she is looking for someone to do the work. Her financial situation is not so great right now, so paying someone $700 to do the job is a little bit mind boggling for her. If you are interested, PM me and I can give you more specifics. I'm not even sure how interested she would be in all of this, I just told her I would put some feelers out and see if anyone could help her.

Hello,
I am in Hutchinson KS, not too far away from Manhattan.
I work at All Engines here in Hutchinson remanufacturing engines. My dept is the Toyotas and I remanufacture ALOT of the 22re engines.
With Christmas coming I could appreciate and use some work on the side and would be willing to do it for less than standard cost.
If interested let me know maybe we can work something out.

Buddy at work asked me to do his on a '95 22re. We agreed on $350 including parts....hope the warm weather holds till I get a chance to do it....EB, save me a t-chain and oil pump, ya hear?
