Would an fj-80 cruiser axle fit under a 92 4runner? reason i ask is its highpinion w/ a factory electric locker.

Its been done. Issues:

#1: You need to get special crossover steering setup, only 1 or 2 places make those.

#2: You need to do something for springs, either rig up coils like the FJ-80 uses, or cut that off and add spring perches for leaf springs.

#3: Axle is significantly wider than your rear axle.

you can always swap out the third member and put it in a pickup front axle

It's a grat axle for a swap.

There is no need to due custom steering arms. The stock arms on it are setup for crossover steering. Just keep that system. You have the wider late model rear axle so all you need is a pair of rear wheel spacers to match it up.
