ok. i am starting to compile a buyers list. i have had a few calls to the shop and have a list going (well currently 2 guys <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> )
Just PM me:
Name address phone # truck (year & Model) what lockers you want to buy.
this is a preliminary list, no obligation.......if i have enough names we will make a round of calls for to get payment info.......and discuss final details.
if i do not get enough names...........then.....

however after reading this one and the one on pirate id like to know which one we are really looking at.Since Matt is offering one deal, with prices being the same for everybody, I suspect this is the information that is further back in this thread that you are looking for. well here we go. this is the GENERAL version of this project. let me throw some numbers at you guys and then we need to see how many are still interested.
the 10 bolt locker:
to do a 1 time limited production run of these the minimum order would be 75 units
turn around time is a minimum of 26 weeks from the time of my deposit
the retail of this run of 75+ will be around $450.00 each
12 Bolt rear:
this unit has to be "tooled" - there is currently no locker available (nor has there ever been). Unit has to be designed and tooled at a cost of roughly $5000.00
they are willing to make a very tiny run of 50 minimum. that means, that on top of the reg "wholesale" cost, there is about $100.00 worth of tooling per unit at this level.
if we did 5000 there would be $1 per ............you see this is why Mfg' do not want to run small #'s - tooling is the same reguardless of how many you make.
to do a 1 time limited production run of these the minimum order would be 50 units
turn around time is a minimum of 26 (+8 for tooling and most likely a bit longer for prototype and test fitment) weeks from the time of my deposit
the retail on these 50+ units again, same as the 10 bolt would run around $475.00 each + the $100.00 per unit for tooling = final cost of $575.00 per unit. with a 1 time run of 50.
TERMS:
all units would have to be pre-paid there would be no refunds on parts once you commit.
that is UNLESS for some reason they are not made, then payments would be returned...........But if you commit, and they are made, you pay for it .....if you take delivery or not.
all freight will be split down over the final # of units (getting the skid of 125+ units from SC to VA and then from VA to you )
SO..................there it is. that is the reality of this project. and...of course pricing is subject to change as materials and trasportation costs are changing on a weekly basis right now.
give me feedback. Now who's in? It seems that he is at this moment, the only change is he is collecting a list of names of people who are interested, but it is not a binding commitment. Michael
