Option number 4 is most definately the best. All-Pro or Alcan. Longer than stock is the only way to go. It takes 2 minutes to weld on new hangers. Heck, it takes longer to remove the old hangers. If you are on a tight budget, go with the 63" chebbies. They flex great, just not as preferable because they are a little too long. Stock length springs suck, don't waste time on them. I know tons of people who got them the first time out and ended up replacing them down the road and wished they had gone the good route to begin with...

Your rig shouldn't be down for a few days just because of relocating some hangers... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

When I did mine, I got everything ready (clamped hangers on and test-fitted springs in my driveway to determine hanger location), and the took my rig over to OPP's house and he welded the hangers on for me. The only reason it took more than a half hour or so was because we had to remove the gas tank to weld the inside of the pass. side hanger.

Then I drove home and bolted everything up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

And yes, you need new rear shackles of some sort (no matter what springs you use).

I had OME springs/shocks on my Samurai & it was like riding on a cloud. Really. But you have to get the shocks too. Worth every cent.

Runner- Performance Accessories 3" longer shackle and a moved shackle hanger, later went to double shackle setup (1 PA, 1 chevy) and original hanger.

T100- made my own shackles and hangers.

Edge's truck- Made one set and combined them w/ Chevy shackles for a double setup in the stock hanger.

All of them are documented and/or linked from my page. <img border="0" alt="[Nerd]" title="" src="graemlins/nerd.gif" />

Need a Spot
Erik, I see you used chevy 3/4 ton rear springs. How do they flex compared to the 1/2 ton setup?
thanks, Matt
