OK, Ive noticed over the past few weeks that my exhaust smells real bad. It is a chemical type smell. I liken it to a strong paint/chemical smell(it smells like a harsh paint to me, I know it is not actually paint). I have never noticed this before and many people have asked me recently what is wrong with my car. It is bad, if you are standing in the fumes and breathe it, you will cough. Me personally it makes me gag and choke. Maybe it is nothing, but all the cars I have had were never like this. I recently had the IMG changed as well as the fuel filter and spark plugs. Also the ERG and throttle body were cleaned. The rodeo seems to run fine. I normally would not worry, but like I said many have commented to me about this and say it is abnormal. Hopefully it is nothing, I am used to more efficient cars so maybe that is it and with the cold weather I am noticing it more.

TIA and sorry for this as I am an idiot when it comes to autos

It's not a sulfur smell (rotten eggs)? That's usually cat converter or battery. As for the strong chemical smell did it appear just after the IMG change by the shop?
