Getting the Wheeling Fever
I actually drove out to Tucson for a free 5-speed and transfer from Abnormaltoy, which replaced my auto. So, if you want the Auto its yours. I'd be happy to pass along the favor. It has about 125K miles and works perfectly.

ZUK, whatcha need the tranny for? I'd actually think of converting my 4sp 2WD to an Auto, (for the wife to drive, after, if ever, the clutch goes out though.

BTW, I believe the tranny is an A340E, and has the integral transfer case. I also don't have the tranny computer. I do have the torque converter, flex plate, pedals, cooler, cross-member and mount, and some/most linkage, but with some surface rust.

ur goddamn isane to waste 7g on a truck doing an sas on a pos. use the beater as ur dd and the nice rig as your offroader. just make sure it has good protection and she will last a long time. but as long as the frame is sound to hell with it do what you want.

7g for a sas?!?!? i gotta ask how. aside from that, im only going to have one truck which looks right now to be the clean body with the good drivetrain from my daily driver. it will be my see all, do all truck. the rest of the parts will be donated to my toyota gang here at home.(theres like 10 of us) but now that the sas is mentioned maybe i will complete the sas on the clean body before i start swapping motors and stuff. i have access to almost everything i need(i think) from a truck we built a few years ago. since then it was stripped and stored. wow you guys got me goin now....i should be able to pull off a very capable rig for peanuts. till i buy lockers later.......
