Getting the Wheeling Fever
Happy New Years All!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I purchased two engine mounts on ebay and I think one of them is not for my truck. By the looks of things the mount the shortcut points to is not for my truck. Before I start taking things apart I was wondering if anyone could confirm this.

Thank you,

Doesn't look like it. I take it the bottom piece sticking out is a bolt stud and nut?

You have 4 bolts on each mount that attach it to your frame, then 4 bolts each to the engine. If you pull your skidplate off and look up at each of them, you'll see it.

I did see the four bolts you mentioned, I didn't have to touch those when I replced the passenger side mount. All I did was unbolt three bolts, lift the engine just enough to slide the rubber piece out and install the new one.

This engine mount looks like it gets bolted either to the frame or the engine with only two bolts. After starring at it for a while I think it's probably (engine mount and the support) one piece that gets bolted to the frame. In my case the support is already welded to the frame, all I need is the rubber piece.

I just wanted to make sure this was not the engine mount for my truck. Now the fun begins trying to return this engine mount and get the correct one sent asap.

Thanks for your help!

Sorry, went out to another engine I have with the mounts; on the frame side is 2, not 4 holes. The 4 holes is on the engine side. I also saw a piece of angled metal in your t'nail; 22Rxx mounts don't have ANYTHING sticking out.

Both mounts are opposite and symetrical, if that helps your case. The only thing after that is how you stack up the alternator brackets and stuff on the driver's side.

Good luck; copy/paste from here.
