WOW! I just found a T100 Supercharger for under $150! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...mp;item=7945919389&category=6763I bet with some tinkering I could build one with a hairdryer and some duct tape!

I've notice that the amount of crap for sale with T100 in the item description has quadrupled lately.

I am particularly amused by the fact that it listed the housing as "plastic". How tough and rugged can that be for a supercharger. Not to mention, it's interesting that it used "corrosion resistant" parts throughout. That means it's like a Chevy transmission (from what I'm told) and uses all plastic parts. That's sad crap like that can even be sold.
I would be curious to test it out though and see if there is actually ANY truth to it.

I'm more curious as to how the unit is designed to only run at WOT, but is 'universal' in it's application...
I saw a kid do this to a Civic... Interesting concept, but I doubt there's any merit to it. For one, you wouldn't have any consistency as it's not a sealed pump (like an s/c). There's no way for the fan (as that's all it is) to apply consistent air pressure. The reason why all s/c's are driven off the engine instead of a separate electric motor is to ensure a constant pressurization according to engine speed. I imagine one could set a vacuum regulator in place aft of it hooked up to a blow-off valve, but anytime you were driving around not under WOT you'd hear an annoying whistle of air.
