just bought a tjm for my disc2. it's got a tab already on the cross-bar for an antenna. i've got my old firestik, but don't have my old radio. anny recommendations on reasonably priced radios? brands?

if i were to buy a new one I'd get the handset cobra. easy to mount and reliable. I've got a uniden(?model) that I mounted under the stereo, works pretty good............Karl

Body Damage is Cool

I've got a uniden 520, works great and fairly cheap, good reception, no complaints from people I'm talking to. It fits in the ash tray of the trucks/runners. Don't forget to tune your antenna as well.

I'll tell you one to avoid- the $40 radioshack model that they've had for a few years. I've owned two of them and neither has lasted more than about two years. I actually think they're made by a bigger brand name, but they say Radio Shack on them.
