ive had a red top for a couple years, i was out wheeling one weekend and the thing slipped off the tray and was resting against the pulley and when i got home i found a 3 three inch long gash ( , heheh) IN THE BATTERY, its about half an inch deep.

obviously this thing is oxidizing or whatever, losing charge so i had to replace it - kirkland style.

can i mend this battery using JB weld or something that wont be eaten by the acid? seems like a shame to toss a $100 dollar battery that has ten more years of life to it?

thanks

Body Damage is Cool
Interesting, was anything leaking out of it?

Could get some interesting results if you used JB Weld, it is a metal based product. I would try so type of two-part epoxy, read the lable to see what it can take!!!!

IIRC, it's toast once any portion allows air in... But I'd still try the 2-part epoxy idea too.
