one of the top tabs on my radiator came lose from the unit so its shakin around a bit now. I've heard this is not a quick weld fix. What can I do to secure it again without having to pull the whole unit?

thanks

Take it to a radiator shop and have them Braze it back on. If the affected piece doesn't touch the tank or core, it should be a quick cheap fix.

Body Damage is Cool
Loosen the top radiator mounting bolts, squeeze them together, retighten. That's what I did on my radiator that has had both sides come off. It's held quite nicely for a year now.

Mine did the same thing, but what I did was use a bunch of RTV sealent to hold it together. A friend suggested it and at first I thought he was crazy, but it's worked incredibly well and I didn't have to remove the radiator.

JB Weld might work also, although I'm not sure how that would affect the thin metal of the radiator.

Wirebrush or sand the area clean, get out your non-electrical solder and the propane torch and reattach it. Thats how I've fixed mine in the past. Even been so lucky as to have the original factory solder glob melt and not have to use any new. Quick to fix, easy and as long as you keep the heat off the cores you will be fine.

It works great. Mine's been held together with JB Weld for over a year now.
