Just a note about our Uwharrie Host (Arrowhead Campground)"Janet", We all hope you get better soon

Update as of 8 PM Saturday:

Janet was taken to the hospital by ambulance Friday PM after becoming very sick at home. I talked to her about 7 PM tonight and got as much as she could tell me at the time. Her speech seems unaffected this time around and she seems to be in relatively good spirits. The hospital where she is happens to be one of the best in the area, so the confidence level is much higher this time than last.

CAT scan and X-rays revealed blood clots in both lungs and an MRI has revealed neurological damage on the right side, hence the left side deficits, but more tests are to come for her. Her previous neurologist made the initial diagnosis of MS last year, but not the type. Her current neurologist has made a preliminary diagnosis of Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, and said that there's a possibilty she may not get back all of what she's lost, but he feels that she'll at least be back to walking and fending for herself after further treatments and continued medication maintenance.

More to come as it comes to me. Say a prayer for the Uwharrie Mom tonight before you go to sleep.

Bruce (Shortruck) originally posted the above for Janet. I talked to her about 8:00 pm Sunday and find that it's still pretty accurate. She hopes to be released mid-week.

Joe

A little old lady once asked me why I have those big heavy bumpers on my truck, I responded "if I bump into something, I win!!" "BTW, I did bump into a Chev Minvan at about 30 MPH...it lost!"
