Need a Spot
Hi All,
Just bought a '98 Tacoma x-cab TRD. My first 4 wheel drive, and I love this truck. Have only been off-road twice, and by myself, so being cautious. I have drug my rear bumper twice, and brushed my frame once. I love how the truck handles, amazing to me how comfortable it is on the highway, and then how great it feels off-road. How much does a lift affect how the truck will feel on the highway? At the most I would be considering a couple of inches (I've seen a couple of posts about using spacers). Will a small lift affect gas mileage?
Sorry if this has already been beat to death in the forum.

the way it handles depends on the lift, I have 3" of lift and the swaybar disonected and I dont dare let anyone else drive it on the freeway but when I had spacers and the s-bar hooked up it was stiff and held the corners really well.
I changed my front bumper and that dramaticly changed myfreeway milage (about 18) but the aroundtown stuff stayed the same
